HEAD OF OPERATIONS

Job Purpose:
This position directs the activities of the Funds Transfer, Treasury Operations, Loan Administration, Operations and Trade Finance areas.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall management of the Funds Transfer, Check Clearing, Treasury Operations, Customer Service, Loan Administration and Operations and Trade Finance departments.
· Manage day to day activities of Treasury Operations and Loan Operations, to ensure workflow, control information, and input to the various systems, is timely, efficient, and accurate.
· Processing of all FX, MM, Securities, Swaps, Options, Futures and synthetic deal product transactions including settlement confirmation, associated accounting entries and payment instructions.
· Monitor and report overall branch positions in currencies, Nostros, custody, correspondent, and regulatory accounts.
· Provide primary backup coverage for all processing functions as required in operations.
· Recommend and implement changes to operational procedures, policies and practices.
· Responsible for monthly operations KPCI Statistic Report for Head Office.
· Coordinate training and development for staff.
· Suggest and implement effective organization changes, if any, to operations areas and staff to improve productivity and effectiveness.
· Responsible for all aspects of processing Securities transactions using BONY and branch systems.
· Develop and maintain Business Continuity plans for Operations areas.
· Responsible for implementation of audit, compliance and control policy, procedures and recommendations.
· Responsible for preparation of monthly reports, including the customer charges and billing statements, the monthly loan report (CBK).
· Monitor Department Activity Checklist (DAC).
· Adherence to all pertinent laws and regulations governing AML/CTF including the BSA/USAPA as well as all bank policy and procedures governing same.
· Successful completion of on-line BSA/AML/OFAC training with a minimum of two additional hours of related supplemental training.
· Tasks and project assignments as required and specified by Manager or General Manager.
· Establish and ensure adherence to the Bank's operational policies, practices and procedures to ensure efficient service to customers.
· Prepare budget plan and control all operating and staff related expenses for Operations groups in New York.
· Coordinate and control all Operations related projects.
· Member of Direst Reports, ALCO and ALLL Committees, and other s as assigned.
· Monitor and review all ongoing operations activities to ensure problems are properly escalated or resolved, and changes to improve efficiencies in the various areas are approved and implemented.
· Responsible for review and update of all Operations related standards, procedures, and documentation.
· Directly manage priorities and activities of all Operations.
· Evaluate performance of staff, recommend training and development directions, and administer appropriate reviews and appraisals.
· Ensure adherence to all pertinent laws and regulations governing BSA/AML, CTF, OFAC and the USAPA, as well as all bank policy and procedures governing these topics
· Successful completion of on-line BSA/AML/OFAC training with a minimum of two additional hours of related supplemental training.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Hands-on knowledge of financial products: loans, securities, derivatives, foreign exchange and money market transactions, cash management and clearing systems, SWIFT, CHIPS, and the Federal Reserve.
· 10-15 years of Banking Operations experience.
· Bachelor's Degree.
