The Channel Sales team is one of Google's fastest growing businesses. Our partners include large Traditional Media companies, Telcos, Search Engine Marketing and Web Hosting companies, as well as advertising agencies who focus on the SMB space. This role is a perfect combination of strategy and execution, blending analytical skills with operational management, helping your Channel Sales regional sales management peers in building and managing their partner bases. Take a lead role in defining, analyzing and communicating key metrics relevant to a Channels business, as well as SEM and SMB business trends.
Research and analyze key business drivers, trends and operating metrics. Create and distribute sophisticated analyses and modeling that translates data into actionable insights, and supports Channel’s overall strategy.
Develop and ongoing evolution of data-driven partner prospecting, third party sales force ramp-up, joint lead generation between Google and partners.
Publish dashboards and recurring management communications documents to be used in partners’ quarterly business reviews, internal business reviews and global Channel Sales’ communications.
Bachelors degree in economics, finance mathematics or statistics (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
6 years analytical work experience in sales or broader business operations and analytics, FMCG.
Experience analyzing data with spreadsheets, database query experience (e.g. SQL).
Comfortable working in a high growth start-up environment, with previous experience working as a business-builder rather than business-maintainer.
Proven track record of thought leadership in applying data driven models.
Demonstrated ability to present analysis and recommendations at executive levels internally and externally.
Strengths in structuring data analysis with ability to synthesize data into various formats that can be understood and acted upon, from the partner sales rep level to the CEO and board level.
A combination of problem solving and analysis skills, strong project management, combined with sound business judgment and executive communication skills.
