Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)Technician - Anchorage, Alaska
The challenge? Helping ensure the supply of our world's oil and gas. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the oil industry.
Our HSE Technician job will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and large scale oil and gas projects in Alaska. Each day you will be responsible for supporting Operations and Maintenance, Construction and Engineering office and field projects in Alaska. You should be a self-motivated, detail oriented professional with three years of progressive work experience in the health and safety field with an Associates degree and/or OHST or CHST certifications.
Our HSE Technicians :
Conduct audits of the project sites to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions
Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the site safety management plan, OSHA, and other applicable regulations
Organize and conduct safety meetings and trainings
Assist with HSE Management program development
Provide technical support to accident investigations, event analysis and corrective action plans
Conduct field audits, observations and assessments for personnel and equipment and provide feedback to onsite and town management
Assist with production of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for specific job tasks
Attend and provide information at daily tool box meetings when supporting field projects
Conduct trending statistics for Hazard Recognitions, Near-misses and Injury Incidents
Assist with data entry and analysis for incidents and proactive measures
Additional Information :
CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc) to fill this position.
Ch2M HILL will not provide relocation for this position. Preference will be given to Alaska residents.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree in a technical field directly related to the position and a minimum of 3 years progressive experience; or H.S. diploma with minimum of 5 years progressive experience. Strong preference will be given to graduates of applicable ABET accredited programs.
3 to 5 years experience
Valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by CH2M HILL's auto insurer.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the health and safety field in an EPC environment
Degree Required
High School or GED
Certifications Required
Valid driver's license
