Advertised Summary Job Description

The Earth Institute, Columbia University is seeking a Health Systems Program Manager to support the integration of a health systems and health delivery science approach into its existing Millennium Villages Project. Under the direction of the Director of Health at The Earth Institute, and in close collaboration with the MVP Health Sector Program Manager, the Health Systems Program Manager will have overall responsibility for advising and facilitating all aspects of health systems work. The position will be primarily based in New York, with anticipated travel to sites on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three- five years' related experience.

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Solid and demonstrable project management experience is essential. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to give clear and concise presentations of complex material. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks with changing deadlines in a fast paced environment. Willingness and flexibility to travel between New York City and sites is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of the Millennium Villages Project Knowledge of database management software such as Filemaker Pro or Microsoft Access is recommended. Preference to candidates with French language skills.
