Healthcare Information Technology Analyst
ECRI Institute is seeking an entry-level individual to conduct research and generate reports on a wide range of healthcare information technologies/systems to provide procurement planning and system selection assistance to hospitals. Responsibilities include gathering data on various types of departmental and enterprise-wide clinical information systems, interviewing users and stakeholders, and providing analysis and recommendations. This individual will also analyze healthcare information technology price quotations from a financial perspective and provide hospitals a resource for price negotiations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyze healthcare information technology price quotations from a financial perspective and provide hospitals a resource for price negotiations.
2. Create documents and reports using ECRI Institute’s PricePaid™ Database to support price quotation analyses.
3. Review literature and user-experience data and write reports on new and emerging healthcare information technologies.
4. Offer advice on the future of specific healthcare information technologies and its potential to be successfully implemented into the healthcare system in the future.
5. Train new clients on ECRI Institute’s online services and customized reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Management or Clinical/Medical Information Systems with at least two years of experience working with IT systems in or related to a healthcare facilities. Effective presentation and written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently, analyze and interpret data effectively, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
