Job Description: Help Desk Specialist
The Help Desk Specialist will receive customer support service requests for assistance from any BAMC customer, the COR or designated government representatives, via, but not limited to, the following methods: Verbal, i.e. telephonically and/or in person or Written, i.e. E-mail, EMTS and/or Web interface. A government representative will prioritize EMTS job orders in accordance with local section standard operating procedures (SOPs). SOPs are available for review daily within each section. The specialist will need to apply in-depth knowledge and experience working with Microsoft desktop operating systems and associated productivity applications. Assist with resolving end user connectivity and access issues.
-Bachelor's Degree with at least a minimum of 2 years of help desk experience OR an additional 2 years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
-Obtain up to date certifications within 1 year of introduction of a new or updated Microsoft Certification
-Working knowledge in Microsoft desktop Operating System
-Experience in the use of an EMTS (Enterprise Management Tracking System)
-Workstation maintenance and support
-Working knowledge of SCCM/OSD/SUS, WSUS, EMTS, Dameware, Remedy, and Microsoft Active Directory
-Supporting wireless communication devices such as pagers, cell phones, and blackberry's
-Configure and trouble shoot common Network Protocols such as TCP/IP and wireless protocols
-Tracking and management of work requests
-Install and configure components of the workstation configuration
-US Citizenship is required.
-Must be able to successfully complete/pass a CGI Background check to start employment.
-Must be able to successfully pass a US Government Security Investigation to start employment.
-Windows 7 CE
