Help Desk team members are responsible for providing resolutions to external and internal customers through expert problem identification analysis and appropriate troubleshooting Team members receive trouble tickets via email ticketing system or telephone and are responsive and effective in creating tickets resolving tickets andor coordinating escalation for resolution Team members have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and end users by providing exceptional client service skills Help Desk team members are selfmotivated and able to work with minimal supervision Essential Duties and Responsibilities Resolve trouble tickets received via telephone email or ticketing system and provide resolution relating to but not limited to Remote Access (VPN) Connectivity Network connectivity issues Printer issues Internet use and settings NetworkEmailTelephony password resets Server monitoring System backups Configuration setup testing and troubleshooting a variety of hardware including desktops laptops printers sound and videocards peripherals and handheld devices Understand and deliver on ticket escalation expectations Own the responsibility of your tickets by ensuring statuses are kept current documentation is clear and issues are resolved Tickets must be updated in real time as events and actions occur Reporting progress to clients and notifying them of resolutions through various sorts of documentation Gain an understanding of the business Keep abreast of new technology systems methods and platforms Responsible for moves adds and changes of client staff to the network Responsible for delivering quality reliable support to all customers both internally and externally Solid ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and end users by providing exceptional client service skills Attends to obligations and supports other company initiatives as directed Qualifications 13 years of experience with helpdeskdesktop support in a professional environment Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Experience with Windows XP7 Microsoft Server 20032008 and basic Networking Microsoft MCTSMCITP (workstation) preferred Experience with Cisco and Watchguard firewalls is desired Strong malware removal skills are a plus Willingness to work flexible schedules and support a 24 7 operations Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality Proven initiative good judgment and ability to achieve results Requires strong problem solving time management flexibility and communication skills Must have the ability to multitask organize and document many task at one time Adaptable to new technologies Able to handle process and procedure dynamics (constantly changing environment) Must be willing to work 2nd and 3rd shifts on a regular basis Must be willing work 2nd and 3rd shifts - Candidates with MS certifications considered a plus
