Minimum of three years experience using basic histology skills, embedding, sectioning and staining. Advance knowledge of human anatomy, cellular structure and function. Advance laboratory technical skills, including ability to troubleshoot. QC work and advanced reagent preparation. Operation and maintenance of general laboratory equipment; analytical balance, pH meter, tissue processor, embedding center and microtome.

Performs basic technical procedures in the Histology Laboratory. Routine tasks include specimen embedding, sectioning including frozen sections and staining. Routine assistance in the gross room; accessioning, cassette labeling, and specimen triage. Basic Immunohistochemistry and Insitu hybridization techniques. Inventory. General Laboratory maintenance.
