Education: Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields and progressive employment experience in the aforementioned fields that demonstrates case management experience.
- Knowledge, skill, and experience in family reunification, family preservation, and/or the completion of foster or adoptive home studies strongly preferred.
- Professional license in behavioral science, human service, or social service preferred.
- Child welfare experience strongly preferred.
- Experience and prior knowledge working with immigrant populations strongly preferred.

Critical Action Items:
Responsible for interviewing, assessing, and reporting of prospective sponsors for the potential placement of children within the guidelines and allotted time frames established by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Screen prospective caregiver families; including the completion of caregiver references; face-to-face individual, couple, and family interviews; and home inspections.
Provide feedback, evaluation, motivation, and direction to prospective caregivers during the evaluation process.
Continually assess ongoing changes in behavior, circumstances, or conditions that may affect child safety.
In consultation with his/her supervisor, make decisions affecting the safety and permanency of the child
Engaging and involving the client and the sponsor in the casework process.
Serve as the liaison with stakeholders including legal providers, probation officers, Immigration court, and the Office of Refugee Resettlement
Provide final written home study reports within required timeframes to assigned Regional Director.
Maintain regular contact with clients and treatment team members through documented phone calls and face-to face visits.
Demonstrating client progress toward risk reduction and recommendations for positive case outcomes.
Maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing, and/or funding requirements.
Prepare, compile, and submit accurate home study case files.
Participate in weekly supervision with Regional Director and PRN staff as needed.
Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English languages, required
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills
Possess sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics
Member of IMT. Attends all mandated trainings for IMT and reports for active duty when required.

Computer literacy and proficiency.
Ability to work independently, and available to work evenings and weekends to meet all BCFS HHS and ORR program requirements.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, current driver’s insurance and have an excellent driving record.
Must have reliable vehicle for transporting clients and for conducting home visits.
Travel required 50 - 75% (in and out-of-state travel will be required).
