Responsibilities:
The Hospice Residence Manager will oversee the care of patients and their families, documentation and the regulatory compliance for the hospice residence. Maintains 24/7 hour responsibility for the facility. Establishes, implements and evaluates the facility’s care, treatment and services to comply with federal, state and local regulations. Provides oversight to ensure high quality, excellent customer service and appropriate regulatory compliance. Demonstrates an understanding of fiscal operations and participates in budget development. Manages resources within budgetary guidelines, including assignments for staff, patient census, caseloads and acuity. Promotes effective collaboration among team members and identifies and addresses communication barriers as they arise. Works with Volunteer Coordinators to assure staffing of volunteers. Coordinates with the Volunteer Coordinators the orientation and education/training needs of the volunteers.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Registered nurse with a valid Michigan License required. Nursing Home Administrator’s license preferred. Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse certification preferred. Must have valid Driver’s License.
