Under direct supervision prepares food items according to menus and numbers of portions to be served. Cleans work area and equipment used. Demonstrates the department’s customer service standards on the job. Assists with the preparation of certain foods. Follows established recipe guidelines and consults with team leader if a change in recipe is necessary. Assists with the packaging and delivery of finished foods to customers. Cleans work area and equipment in accordance with established sanitation procedures and guidelines. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Approximately 37 hours per week with starting rate of $8.75 per hour.
High school diploma or GED and previous food service work experience preferred. Knowledge of food preparation methods and practices. Acceptable standards of personal hygiene. Flexible, adaptable, and adjusts readily to alterations in routine. Ability to perform work requiring considerable standing and light-medium physical effort. Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to learn to operate institutional kitchen equipment.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including early morning, late night, and weekend shifts.
