Title: Hourly Shift Supervisor FLSA: Non-Exempt
Level: Restaurant Operations Reports To: General Manager
Purpose of the position: To execute productive and successful shifts in the absence of other management staff. To facilitate remarkable guest experiences by modeling team behaviors that delight our guests and meets our high quality standards, by preparing great tasting food according to established recipes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Ensure that all processes and procedures are followed in the absence of other management staff
o Demonstrate and promote guest satisfaction as a core company value
o Maximize sales and profits by upholding sales and service techniques to ensure a great guest experience
o Model ways to delight guests and team members to deliver an excellent guest experience
o Maintain sparkling clean restaurants, serve high quality food, and show genuine concern for guests
o Increase sales and maximize profit by ensuring all P&L items are controlled and WIG objectives are achieved
o Maintain appropriate employee records/documentation to ensure company is compliant with local/federal agencies
o At least six (6) months experience in restaurant/retail environment
o Proven track record of passionate customer service; be a role model to team members
o Strong organizational skills
o Basic computer skills
o Ability to manage with integrity, honesty, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Boston Market
o Ability to value change and work in a face paced environment
o Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Interacts daily with external guests as well as working alongside management team and team members. Frequent contact with regional manager, senior regional manager, HR manager, and various field support and support center personnel.
1) Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more, 2) move throughout the restaurant for extended periods of time (up to 10-12 hours per day), 3) move 50 lbs. for distances of up to 10 ft., 4) balance and move up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 ft., 5) understand and respond to team members’ and guests’ requests in a loud environment, and 6) perform basic math and understand finances and cost management.
