POSITION PURPOSE: This is an entry level supervisory position. The primary role of the House Supervisor is to work directly on the floor with Support Professional staff. The House Supervisor will serve as a role model demonstrating and training staff in the correct performance of all activities of daily living including but not limited to the following: direct care, active treatment, implementation of program goals & objectives, developing and participating in home and community recreational activities, family involvement and communication, community integration, medication administration, cooking and medical appointments participation. The House Supervisor in conjunction with the Program Manager will directly supervise the Support Professional and Team Leader staff. |
•High school diploma and three years of experience working in health and human services preferred experience with persons with developmental and physical disabilities. 1+ years of direct care experience is required.
•Holds valid drivers license, and has ability to drive company vehicles. Maintains safe driving record.
•Ability to provide 24-hour coverage directly and indirectly.
•Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision making skills.
•Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds, which includes lifting objects and lifting and transferring individuals.
•Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or high school diploma and three years of experience working in health and human services preferred experience with persons with developmental and physical disabilities.
•Qualified Mental Retardation Professional preferred.
•Supervisory and management experience preferred not required.
