The primary purpose of this position is to perform housekeeping duties in an assigned area of the hospital. The employee follows a work schedule that covers all phases of housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
The Environmental Services Assistant must be able to follow written and oral instructions. The Environmental Services Assistant must possess some knowledge of cleaning procedures.The Environmental Services Assistant must be pleasant, courteous, and thoughtful around patients, staff, and visitors. Previous experience in cleaning is preferable. Work schedule flexibility is preferred. The Environmental Services Assistant must be physically able to lift, stoop, bend, move from side to side, and climb ladders.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education and/or experience that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
