The Department of General Services, Bureau of Facilities Management is seeking a qualified professional Housekeeping Inspector. The position is responsible for delivering quality and effective supervision of custodial contractors to ensure that all areas of the Capitol Complex Buildings are maintained to a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and appearance.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications include extensive knowledge and experience of cleaning techniques, methods, materials, equipment and chemicals for a wide variety of surfaces and materials. Knowledge of safety practices in the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies is essential. The selected candidate must have working skills and knowledge in the operation of power cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and vacuums. Must have the ability to evaluate the work of contract personnel and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

High School Diploma, or equivalent, and Virginia driver's license required.

Special Requirements
Selected candidate must be able to work 3:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., some weekend and holiday work is required.

Fingerprint-based criminal history background check and DMV records check required.
