Applicants on being accepted for a classified Housekeeping Worker (Day Shift) to provide a clean and safe environment for students, staff and visitors by performing general housekeeping duties and project work in a variety of settings, including offices, dorms, classrooms, recreational areas, and skilled nursing and clinical treatment units.
The usual hours of work will be 6:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. with a half-hour meal break. Base pay is negotiable. Work is physically demanding, and involves the use of cleaning supplies and tools, chemicals and electrical cleaning equipment. Good attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Ability to use buffers, shampooers and wet-dry vacuums; ability to understand and follow safety instructions and work direction; physical ability to perform strenuous housekeeping tasks.

Must be able to work 6:00 am to 2:45 pm.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in housekeeping work preferred - using buffers, wet-dry vacuums and shampooers.

Special Requirements
Moderate lifting is required in this job.
This position is designated essential and will be required to report as needed during emergencies and weather related events.
