Job Summary: As part of our Housewares Department, this position provides customers with outstanding service, communicates product information, and suggestively sells products.
Specific Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides outstanding customer service and readily communicates product information to increase sales and meet revenue goals.
Prices and stocks merchandise according to guidelines.
Communicates with Housewares Manager regarding product ordering and stock levels.
Maintains high-quality standards in product management and presentation.
Assists in quarterly physical inventories and practices inventory control.
Rotates backstock to sales floor.
Performs light housekeeping duties within the department.
Participates in physical inventories and practices inventory control.
Prevents internal and external loss; follows cash handling procedures.
Assists with merchandising and displays.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Housewares Manager and/or Store Director team.
Skills Required / Qualifications:
Candidates will be selected from applicants having the best combination of the following qualifications:
Prior retail experience in a related field.
Cooking experience and interest in food preferred.
Superior communication skills.
Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Exemplary attendance record.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to positively affect sales generation.
Demonstrates a high-level of self-motivation; takes initiative; problem solves.
Possesses creative merchandising and display skills.
