SBM Atlantia, Inc. is currently recruiting for Hull Design Engineers. In this role you will be responsible for: Performing design of hull structures; preparing design reports for hull structures to be submitted for regulatory and client approval; work closely with design and drafting activating to ensure the design engineering is properly translated to drawings; assisting in preparation of responses to client, vendor and regulatory comments; and conducting quality assurance checks for internal spreadsheets, calculations and FE models; building and analyzing numerical models.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified candidates will possess a Master's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean or Structural Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of related experience and basic knowledge of ANSYS or equivalent linear analysis finite analysis software and commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities. In lieu, would accept a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean or Structural Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered engineering or five (5) years of related experience and basic knowledge of ANSYS or equivalent linear analysis finite analysis software and commercial and marine fabrication materials, procedures, and capabilities.
