We achieve this mission by running a network of middle and high schools in low-income communities and influencing the Los Angeles school district to transform its failing secondary schools into clusters of small successful schools. OPPORTUNITY: Green Dot is embarking on an ambitious five-year plan to nearly double in size, and doing so in a way that will enable it to have 10 times the impact.

It will extend its work as a leading change agent in Los Angeles Unified School District, taking on the most difficult challenges in education reform: turning around existing failed schools and promoting reform and reinvention of the school district. The Human Capital Associate will enable this critical education reforms to happen by ensuring Green Dot has an †A† Player in every classroom, in every office, and in every position. This individual will learn about and take part in creating leading edge human capital practices, which are very hot topics in the national dialogue on education reform. A motivated Human Capital Associate will become an excellent teammate, improve the team†s execution, and push the team†s thinking on developing the best human capital strategies.

This is a 6-month, temporary/seasonal position.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: > Develop school leader recruitment strategic plan with Director of Human Capital and lead its execution > Manage school leader candidate screening process, working with our VP of Education > Become an integral member of our human capital team, conducting teacher candidate interviews and other duties as neededCOMPENSATION: Salary for this position is $25,000 for 6-months.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: We require all candidates to complete an online application at applicants chosen for an interview will be contacted.
