Requirement Talking Notes/Insights - In addition to the qualifications listed below, the Objective of this project is to deliver a final end-product that is judged to be more informative/user friendly/effective by the target client population, which is the Maricopa County Employee population. Additionally, they right candidate will probably have both CURRENT and CONSISTENT experience with either a major Healthcare/Insurance Provider, Government Entity, or Major Employer as a Benefits Analyst/WRITER. Finally the web interface skills are a real plus.
The CLP will be responsible for the following:
Read the Benefit Summaries, Certificates, Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents for each benefit option to understand the services provided under each benefit (medical, pharmacy, behavioral health, vision, dental, etc).
Consolidate the Summary Plan Descriptions for each benefit option into one comprehensive Benefits Handbook.
Re-write the Know Your Benefits booklet, and other benefits-related documents.
Ensure that all benefit communications have consistent, clear, and easy-to-understand messaging.
Develop a strategy for communicating information on the Employee Benefits Home Page of the County’s Intranet site.
Assist with revamping the Benefits website

Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration or Human Resources.
3 years of prior benefits experience in the administration of Health and Welfare benefits.
3 years experience in writing technical or HR-related documents
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Good analytical and organizational skills, specifically the ability to organize benefits information in a logical and clear manner.
Self-starter who can complete a high volume of work in a very short period of time
