We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, hands-on Human Resources Director to oversee the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services for our Deland and Fort Myers (Florida) locations. The incumbent will act as a business partner overseeing employee relations, recruitment, retention, legal compliance, employee benefits, employment practices/procedures, communications and employee events supporting our Deland and Fort Myers sites.
Principal duties and responsibilities include:
Optimizing the plant HR function by developing, implementing, directing and evaluating the human resource function on an ongoing basis to continually enhance performance.
Acting as a strategic partner - participating in the development of the Business Unit’s plans and programs and translating them into HR strategic and operational plans.
Developing staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent (internally/externally). Identify appropriate external candidate sources for all levels within the company.
Manages employee relations and directs matters as they pertain to union avoidance activities ensuring consistency and uniformity.
Promotes the full development and performance of all employees through development of programs to allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds.
Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Implements staffing programs and oversees talent management through succession planning programs, and training and development programs. Enhances employees’ knowledge and understanding of company business and the filtration industry by facilitating general training programs.
Develops HR policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization (ex., employee relations related policies, affirmative action, career development).
Continually develops, enhances, and enforces human resources policies and procedures of the organization, employing systems to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. Manages the human resource information systems database and required HR reports for analyses of the HR function and people resources.
Manages the budget of the Human Resources Department.
Ongoing evaluation of the human resources organizational structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness with respect to programs, policies, practices and processes.
Serves as site Compliance Ethics Officer and promotes the principles of Developmental Leadership and High Performance Management by serving as an ambassador and role model to the organization.
Provides consultation and support on organizational initiatives; member of VP Operations staff; collaborates on Continuous Improvement and LEAN Manufacturing initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned

4. Knowledge of HR labor laws is required (i.e., EEOC, INS, ADEA, ERISA, NLRB, ADA, FMLA and FLSA laws)

7. Strong project management/process capabilities
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or a related field
Ten (10) years relevant Human Resources experience with at least five (5) years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
Requires 5+ years of management experience and relevant HR Generalist experience including regulatory and compliance.
Master’s degree, PHR or SPHR certification is a definite plus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
