The purpose of this position is to organize and maintain all records related to accounts payable and accounts receivable in and effective, efficient and financially sound manner, to assist with implementation and maintenance of financial systems in compliance with federal, state and local requirements and to perform facility human resources functions including employee recruitment, retention, benefits administration, and personnel policy.
Implement and maintain systems to collect, process and document accurate and complete accounts payable.
Implement monitoring systems to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements for financial records.
Implement systems to process, organize, file and maintain accounts payable information in a financially sound manner.
Identify facility staffing needs and recruit qualified individuals.
Develop systems to retain staff and reduce facility turnover.
Implement facility programs and employee benefits.
Develop, communicate and implement compliance programs for facility personnel policies and procedures.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School grad, GED and at least 2 years of undergraduate study, preferably in business administration. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Two to five years experience in a long-term facility.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Must be able to compose basic business correspondence, letters and memos and create basic financial reports such as revenue and expense reports, budget variance reports, and account reconciliations.
Computer proficient with skills and experience in word-processing, spreadsheet and email applications.
Past experience in payroll and collections desired.
Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally. Finger, hand dexterity, visual and aural acuity is necessary. Position requires sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, stretching lifting, grasping and reaching.
Must be able to perform job related travel as required.
