Our Industrial division offers a unique and challenging opportunity for a Human Resource Manager. This position will be based out of our New Port Richey in Florida. This key person will be responsible for assisting in the development, management and leading the Human Resources function in New Port Richey that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a capable workforce.
Human Resources Manager:
Provide overall strategic HR leadership to the Pall facility in New Port Richey, Florida, working in the Aerospace and Industrial sectors. Oversee the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, programs and services, including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications and employee events. Job would include serving as the community liaison. Must have a clear understanding of the local labor market, and ensure a strategic workforce plan to meet business goals. We are looking for a hands-on learner that will be proactive with the Human Resources agenda, flexible to be counseling the leadership team one minute, and on the assembly floor the next.
Potential candidates must have proven success with change management, staffing & selection to build an organization. A stro ng interviewer with an eye for talent would be an asset to the team. Candidates must also have experience with developing training plans & programs and succession planning. Knowledge of LEAN management tools is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures compliance to all Company, Local, State and Federal guidelines. Oversee all investigations in areas such as, but not limited to, EEO, Wage and Hour, Unemployment, FMLA and Workers Compensation by providing employee relations counseling, administering the Employee Complaint process, providing guidance and support to supervisors and managers and assuring fair and equitable treatment throughout the organization. Develops and administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all New Port Richey personnel. Will be responsible for projects covering multiple sites in the Western Hemisphere. Plans, organizes, and oversees all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Implements and annually updates compensation program in accordance with corporate guidelines; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Develops recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and other activities as needed. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; develops and oversees new-employee orientations; monitors career and succession planning initiatives Provides employee relations counseling, administers the Employee Complaint process, provides guidance and support to supervisors and Managers and assures fair and equitable treatment throughout the organization. Provides consultation and support to New Port Richey initiatives, member of General Manager’s staff, collaborates on Continuous Improvement and LEAN Manufacturing initiatives. Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of unit in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Develops/delivers training programs as required
Education, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field and 5 or more years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources position. Masters degree preferred as is the PHR or SPHR certification. Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and consultative skills. Experience in employee relations and mediation in a manufacturing environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to successfully provide leadership and direction to the plan and management team. Working knowledge of ADP, Kronos, SAP systems and lean manufacturing a plus Demonstrated evidence of high levels of confidentiality Ability to analyze data and extrapolate for benefit of senior management
