Partner with the Store Management Team to lead initiatives to bring the people and business together to support the IKEA Vision, HR Idea and the goals defined within our people strategy; create excellent and sustainable performance, today and tomorrow and secure IKEA as the leading home furnishings company in the local market. YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your tasks will include:
Business Partner

As a member of the Location Management Team, establish HR business objectives to support and contribute to the development of the location’s operational goals and business plans
Take ownership and help guide the location operational results through Human Resource Key Performance Indicators
Develop, implement and follow-up the Human Resource Business Plan and relevant actions in line with the fulfilment of the Global People Strategy
Establish strong partnerships with matrix organizations to ensure achievement of location’s business goals
Establish partnerships to impact HR services; staffing levels, hiring, and compensation
Foster leadership development to support the growth of the business and the meeting of the customer
Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned

Competence Development

Leader/Manager

Implement and sustain the Attract, Develop and Inspire processes and to anchor processes in all departments at the location
Partner with managers to influence and support overall positive working environment to include actions to secure effective co-worker relations, communications, competence development, performance management, and other human resource related elements impacting the business result
Establish and provide effective co-worker relations through investigation processes, problem-solving, mediation, counselling and recognition
Partner with Store Management Team to help analyze, create, or influence change necessary to drive the business forward
Establish and manage the communication between location Human Resource Team and Human Resource Service Center
Manage, lead and develop the local Human Resource Team

Functional Expert

Support, coach, advise, and train managers on HR practices and responsibilities
Implement recognition processes (development possibilities, work/life balance, salaries, working conditions, benefits)
Utilize existing resources (Voice, Commercial Review, HR KPI’s etc) to ensure appropriate actions are initiated that contribute to defined goals and the business result
Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, comply with federal, state, and local laws, and take immediate action to minimize and resolve inconsistent practices

YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources, or other related fields
5 – 7 years professional Human Resources experience with 3 years in a lead or managerial role, or equivalent experience in a managerial role, preferably in retail, services, and/or a distribution environment
PHR/SPHR preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local legislation regarding personnel and labor laws and labor relations
Working knowledge of state unemployment practices; state/federal Worker’s Compensation regulations
Previous experience in competence and successor development, including leadership performance
Previous experience in recruitment, compensation, benefits, and communication strategies
Previous experience with co-worker relations
Knowledge of local labor market in order to support innovative methods of meeting and/or exceeding business priorities
Computer aptitude – previous experience with Microsoft applications practices
