These are Career Program (CP) #10 positions.

If selected for this position, a signed mobility agreement is a condition of employment. This agreement states that in order to be placed in the intern program, or upon graduation from the intern program, you may be assigned to any location, within the Department of Army and that you will move to the new duty location. Failure to relocate can be used as the basis for non-selection. Failure to relocate after appointment can be the basis for your removal from Federal service.

Payment of moving expenses MAY be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.

This position requires a NACI background investigation.

Selectee will be required to sign a mobility agreement.

This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) 10% of the time.

DUTIES:
This position serves in an entry level capacity in the Career Intern Program # 10. The position will perform duties characteristic of the specific occupational series for an 0201 Human Resource Specialist. Generally the incumbent performs duties designed to provide an orientation in the application of theories and basic principles and practices in support of this specialized occupational area.

Candidate will be in a structured training program until graduation.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
General experience: To qualify applicants must possess 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which is equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-04 ). General experience is defined as: Work that involves independently create documents such as letters or reports, assist external/internal customers, plan and organize short-term projects, identify routine problems and recognize solutions.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities)in the following areas:

Knowledge of Human Resources Theories and Principles
Skill in Research
Problem Solving Competency
Customer Service Competency
Teamwork Competency

In order to qualify based on education in lieu of general experience, applicants must possess a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

Combinations of successfully completed undergraduate education leading to a bachelor's degree and qualifying experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements at the GS-05 level.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Basis for Rating : Qualified candidates will be assigned to one of three quality categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified and Qualified. Veteran preference eligibles are listed ahead of non-preference eligibles within each quality category.
