General Position Summary

The Human Resources Administrator supports the Human Resources Sr. Director, Director and Manager assisting primarily in the data administration of craft and non-craft new hires into HRIS for the Civil Northeast HR department. Duties include, but are not limited to: maintaining all of the personnel data associated with the HRIS, Personnel Files, and general department clerical functions (fax, phone, filing, etc.). The position works under direct supervision and performs routine daily data entry activities.

This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong data entry skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Handle and Maintain HRIS data/records for new and existing craft and salaried employees.

Enter New Hire Information

o

Liaise with the field administrators and payroll on craft new hire information

o

Generate reports on an as needed basis

·

Maintain Employee (current and terminated), Medical Files

·

Manage termination paperwork

·

Assist in new hires

o

Offer letters

o

Assemble New Hire Orientation Packages

o

Provide IT with New Hire Set-up form

·

Serve as liaison to Creative Benefits / process Request for Action forms

·

Manage EEO reporting and compliance reports

·

Act as liaison to Payroll Department

·

General Administrative Duties including data entry; answering phones; booking conference rooms; ordering supplies; faxing; filing; etc.

Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment and Skanska Safety and Health Management Program

Job Skills & Abilities Guidelines

·

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Share Point

·

Previous experience working with spreadsheets and databases

·

Ability to work with all levels of employees

·

Ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail

·

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Education and/or Experience

·

Associates degree or professional clerical certification

·

2-5 years of data entry experience

Authority

The Human Resources Administrator derives his or her authority, and performs all duties with guidance, from the Human Resources Senior Director, Northeast HUB

Work Environment/Job Conditions

This job may be performed in the office or on the jobsite and requires frequent sitting (often working on a computer), frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.

Due to computer usage, there may be repetitive motions of the hands and wrists.

He/she must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all Company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite.
