Requires a bachelor's degree plus a minimum of three years progressively responsible relevant experience in Human Resources. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills. Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail. The incumbent must possess a high level of confidentiality, proficiency and accuracy in all duties. Ability to prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Consult with all levels of staff to provide outstanding HR support, including interpretation and communication of policies and procedures. Build relationships and trust to effectively gauge needs and identify issues early in the process in order to take a proactive approach to resolving problems.
Work with Senior Director of HR to administer central office employee mentoring program and other leadership development programs including supervisory training.
Work with outside vendor to develop the central office affirmative action plan. Manage applicant tracking requirements and related documentation to ensure compliance with OFCCP, and other government regulations.
Work with hiring managers on recruitment of senior level positions. Develop comprehensive sourcing plans to create diverse candidate pipeline, reduce time to fill and improve candidate quality. Educate hiring managers regarding staffing process to promote consistent candidate selection methods. Coordinate interview and selection process.
Administer the central office performance program and merit plan.
Be the point person for online applicant tracking and performance appraisal tools.
Work with HR Associate on employee on-boarding activities and orientations, and exiting activities, including cobra administration and exit interviews.
Maintain and update information for employees including, central office HR policies, procedures, guidance and forms.
Analyze data and produce reports, documents and surveys. Process payroll, review payroll reports for internal controls and ensure effective communication between HR and payroll.
Maintain employment files, personnel forms, records and notices according to Research Foundation policy and in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Oversee the employee educational assistance program. This includes the processing of all applications, check requests for tuition payments and reimbursements, billing correspondence and records maintenance.
Oversee leave administration process for Central Office. Work with employees to administer leave of absences, disability, FMLA and workers compensation.
Advise on employee relations issues and provides coaching and counseling to staff on personnel issues as needed. Work with employee relations manager on actions impacting employment.
Supervise HR Administrative Assistant.
Provide technical support to management on staffing, statistical reports, and personnel issues.
Oversee and manage the Research Foundation Employee Assistance Program.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
