A top rated DC law firm is currently seeking a bright and qualified administrative assistant to support their attorney recruitment and human resources departments. This exciting role is the perfect opportunity to start your career in the legal and human resources fields. To qualify candidates must have a bachelors degree and flexibility for regular overtime! The ideal candidate will have prior experience in event planning, working in Office Admissions or in a HR Department. While this role is largely administrative, you will learn the ins and outs of how large firm HR and attorney recruitment departments operate. The Assistant will be responsible for assisting with new hire orientation, processing campus registration, attorney job postings, applications, search firm agreements, record filing; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; ordering and distributing marketing materials and gifts for external and internal contacts; preparing reports, lists, databases, materials, correspondence and communications; processing all budget transactions and expense/ reimbursement forms; and other special projects as assigned.
