Job Description:
Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: House of Blues, Boston

The Role:
To facilitate the performance and activities of the
Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities:
I. Administrative Duties
  • Maintain/ organization of personnel files/insurance
tracking
  • Assists in interview session and conducts new hire
orientation
  • Verifies weekly labor and processes payroll reports.
  • Ongoing documentation for termination analysis as well
as employee incident analysis
  • Provide distribution and documentation of performance
review and employee recognition award
  • Assist in maintaining personnel/employment law updates
  • Act as coordinator for employees newsletter
  • Track and maintain workers compensation claims to
include OSHA log.
  • Assist with implementation of employee benefits
II. Handle Any Other Projects/Assignments that may
spontaneously be initiated by the H.R. Manager or GM
IN ADDITION TO THE PERFORMANCE OF ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS THE ASSISTANT TO THE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING:

Qualifications:
  • WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF: Computers (Windows environment,
word processing, spreadsheets, databases),
administrative skills
ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF: Restaurant/Music Hall/Retail
Operations
  • SKILL IN: Staff relations, Phone skills, Communication
skills with regard to Staff and Managers, Typing
  • ABILITY TO: Prioritize, Organize
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (LICENSES, CERTIFICATES,
PROFESSIONAL, ETC.) High School diploma required,
College degree preferred
