Expected Starting Salary Range : $10.00- $13.00
All supplemental employees are required to be part of the Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System (MPSERS).
The Human Resources Assistant, as part of the Human Resources (HR) office team, provides support for human resource functions, focusing primarily on recruitment and HR technology. This position provides support for the Talent initiative, primary support of applicant recruitment and orientation, website and information management, and HR office team support.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Associate’s degree or higher with 6 months experience working in a human resources department
High school diploma or GED with secondary education coursework plus 2 or more years’ experience working in a human resources department
Word processing skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft Word®)
Spreadsheet software skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft Excel®)
Database skills and experience (i.e. Microsoft Access®)
Ability to quickly master hr software and use with proficiency (i.e. applicant tracking system, orientation system, database, etc.)
Customer service experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or closely related field
Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR) from Human Resources Certification Institute, or other HR certification
WORK HOURS :
This is a temporary position for approximately 25 hours per week.
