Come to San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and be an integeral part of our Human Resources (HR) team! We are hiring an HR Assistant to provide technical and administrative support to the HR Department.

Duties for this position will include:

Provide HR Generalist (employee relations) support to assigned departments.

Update employee information in our Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Maintain disciplinary logs, termination logs, safety histories, I-9's and employee personnel files; process all employee changes in a timely manner.

Prepare necessary paperwork for new and current employees; process new hires, transfers and promotions.

Monitor, report and follow-up on complete and incomplete new hire documentation.

Maintain and order office supplies.

Perform general office duties including; answering phones, typing correspondence, setting up meetings, mail distribution, filing, photocopying, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an HR related field necessary.

Some college course completion preferred.

Knowledge of HR principles and practices required.

Experience with HRIS databases required; Ultimate Software/UltiPro preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point necessary.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor based on an organizational level is essential.
