The selected candidate for this new position will provide assistance in the general administration of the Human Resources and Payroll Departments. The selected candidates work time is anticipated to be split evenly between the HR and Payroll Departments. He/she will assist with the research, development and implementation of new or revised HR programs as well as assist with the ongoing management of existing programs. Also, under the guidance of the Payroll Supervisor, he/she will assist with payroll administration.

The position requires prior knowledge, experience and skills in Human Resources. The position reports to the VP, Human Resources, but also works closely with all directors and managers in the HR and Payroll Departments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the administration and development of employee benefit programs, such as group health, 401(k) and voluntary benefit programs, as well as assisting with the development, implementation and management of compensation and other reward programs.
Will also assist with the maintenance of the affirmative action program; generating annual EEO-1 reports; and assisting with the job posting and job requisition process.
Will coordinate the annual performance management process, and will produce various HRIS reports on a regular and ad hoc basis.
For the Payroll Department, the selected candidate will compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions and assist with auditing of downloaded payroll information from our facilities.

The selected candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field and one to two years of HR experience; or no less than five years experience in the HR field. PHR certification is preferred. The selected candidate will also be proficient in the use of applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and have prior experience using HR information systems and producing various HR reports.
