POSITION TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, (1.0 FTE) 12 Month Administrative position. Position works 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm. Schedule includes some evenings and potentially weekends.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position assists in the coordination of full scope day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department serving all MCC locations. Assist with the coordination of all employment searches, the Faculty Load and Compensation System (FLAC) including employment contracts and salary notifications, payroll checklists and verification of all employees. Responsible for background check processing for employees, early childhood education students and health program students. Researches and communicates policies/procedures, performs problem resolution and analyzes data. Assist with maintaining and analyzing staffing patterns and payroll encumbrances.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or business related area from accredited institution and one year of recent full-time experience in human resources. An Associate’s Degree and three years of recent full-time experience in human resources may substitute. Knowledge of FLSA, FMLA and fundamentals of accounting. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to build trust and work effectively with employees. Excellent oral and written communication, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties with attention to detail. Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week, and committee service. Occasional travel for trainings and meetings to the Denver area and throughout the MCC service area.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with State of Colorado or higher education, payroll processing, background check processing, Banner software.
SALARY: Salary competitive (Based on level of education, skills and experience). Benefits include health, life, & dental insurance, LTD, & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.
