Doodle Bugs! Children’s Centers (www.doodlebugs.com) is seeking an experienced HR Director to join our growing company. Doodle Bugs! is a strong, dynamic, financially stable company that is growing through new corporate and franchise locations in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and North Carolina. Approximately 400 employees work at 10 corporate locations and this number is expected to double in the next 5 years. Additional franchise locations employ 40-45 people at each location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, direct, evaluate and oversees the administration of company HR operations and faculty.
- Work closely with Company CEO and Executives, system-wide center directors and staff, corporate staff, consultants, vendors, outside agencies and the public.
- This position reports to the Company CEO
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Knowledge of: multiple HR disciplines and trends; change management techniques; plan design options for various benefit plans; training; compensation fundamentals; job evaluation methodologies; IRS, federal, state, HIPAA, healthcare and employment laws; principles and practices of best practice HR administration; computerized HR/payroll systems, including HRIS as a strategy and project management experience; bidding processes, supervisory methods, particularly for a large and growing employer.
Ability to: lead and motivate multifunctional teams; manage multiple conflicting priorities; formulate partnerships across organization; apply utilization patterns to benefit plans; prepare strategic and financial analyses; negotiate with vendors; skill in public speaking, interpret policies, procedures, and government regulations; coach, mentor, and supervise the work of staff; prepare communication materials; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; experience in working with organizations in the midst of transformation, familiarity with strategic and innovative HR, strong anchoring to modern HR principles over process; significant relationship building skills; demonstrated ability to connect with peers and stakeholders across a growing organization.
- This company is located in a beautiful, state of the art office in Buffalo, New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field is mandatory; Master’s Degree preferred
- 8+ year’s experience within HR
EXPERIENCE IN CHILD CARE OR K-12 EDUCATION IS PREFERRED
