DUTIES

  • Applies corporate and local policies, procedures, programs and guidelines within state and Federal requirements. Complies with internal and external reporting requirements related to Human Resources functions.
  • Recruitment; processes authorized requisitions for job openings through posting, screening, scheduling, interviews, post-interview follow-up, and post-offer pre-employment screen through the hiring process.
  • Conducts new hire orientation; file origination for HR and payroll, I-9 process and E-Verify, statutory compliance, benefits orientation and enrollments, introduction to Manager/Supervisor for on-the-job-orientation.
  • Benefits administration; local administration of corporate benefits programs, including health, disability, retirement 401k, wellness, workers' compensation, leave of absence and other benefits programs.
  • Record Maintenance; initiates, maintains, and reports on data and records as required for operations and Human Resources, state and Federal compliance, internal and external audits, and as required.
  • Assists in training management on policies, procedures and best practices; interviewing, hiring, disciplinary action, documentation, terminations, promotions, performance reviews and other employment actions.
  • Employee Relations; may participate in or conduct investigations, coaches management in resolution of employee relations issues, and assists management in accurate, timely and effective documentation. May conduct or administer education and training sessions. Responsible for pre- and post-termination processes and administration.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • May be required to administer programs unique to IPGM or required by the State of New Hampshire.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven success and experience in a similar HR Generalist position.
  • BS and 4 years experience preferred, or equivalent. PHR or SPHR designation, a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Previous experience in employee relations with ability to effectively and efficiently resolve issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills combined with strong listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in ADP HR programs or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail. Ability to handle data accurately.
  • Focus on timely processing of data and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver information and presentations to groups.
