An international law firm is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their dynamic team. This position will report to the HR Manager and supervise three individuals in the HR Department. The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years experience in the human resources department (primarily benefits related) of a law firm experience and a strong working knowledge of human resource principles, labor laws and regulations, both federal and DC, familiarity with Human Resources databases required (e.g., ADP, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, Lawson, Workday, viDesktop, Kronos, etc.), and superior organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to handle confidential information and materials with care and discretion. The HR Generalist will over see the payroll and benefits related functions of the office, conduct benefit overview sessions during new hire orientation, and ensures efficient processing of all payroll and benefits related functions for the office while providing supervisory, prepares Personnel/Payroll transaction e-mails, enters HR data into Workday, records and transmits compensation data, problem solves with employees and the Payroll Department, and conducts employment verifications, Conducts benefits overview sessions as part of new employee orientation.
