The purpose of this position is to support the human resources function throughout all divisions of the company.

Position Responsibilities:

Assist with Human Resources activities such as employment, compensation, EEO, affirmative action and training.

Assist with recruitment for the organization including administrative, engineering, operations, sales and executive level employees including coordination of recruitment though various efforts (newspapers, web, job fairs, universities, employment agencies, etc) resume coordination for all departments, database management, follow-up, setting up interviews and finalizing details of offers.

Assist with coordination of employee events such as seminars, company meetings, outside events and other activities that promote interaction and cohesiveness amongst employees.

Work closely with HR staff to partner with management and facilitate organizational development activities throughout all divisions.

Work with supervisor on employee relations issues/concerns to ensure quick and equitable resolution of employee and/or management problems.

Assist with EEO/ADA/AA and other legal requirement issues; administer affirmative action plan and ensure that staffing, hiring and promotional policies are in compliance with local, state and federal legislation.

Coordinate management and employee training programs to ensure maximum productivity and effective leadership for the organization.

Administer a wage and salary program, including conducting surveys and designing salary ranges, designing incentive programs and interacting with staff and other management to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

Analyze current HR technical systems and make recommendations for higher efficiency.

Accurately manipulate data in various HRIS systems for reliable reporting of HR activities to corporate executive committee, shareholders, external vendors and/or individual employees.

Research, negotiate, design and administer benefit plans which maximize benefits coverage for employees in a cost-effective manner for the company.

Work closely with company vendor and finance department to administer and manage 401K benefits.

Assist in assessing employee morale and advising management on issues which may impact morale.

Develop, implement, and maintain safety compliance programs/procedures up to and including personal injury/property damage accidents, Accident/Incident Analysis, review of existing program and developing new safety initiatives, fire protection, health and safety auditing, emergency response and process management.

Perform safety assessments and assisting staff to develop and implement safety programs.

Conduct and oversee monthly Safety Committee meetings.

Manage companywide Workers Compensation and general liability claims and administration.


Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.

At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in all aspects of human resources preferred, however a combination of

education and experience will be considered.

Experience in television broadcasting industry a plus.

In-depth knowledge of benefits programs along with laws pertaining to employment.

Must be willing and able to travel as necessary.

Must possess ability to handle multiple tasks and meeting deadlines along with top-notch communication skills.

Strong knowledge of MS Office required.

Experience with ADP, ReportSmith and Sharepoint preferred.

Demonstrated experience successfully operating various HRIS systems.
