The following position is available:
Administers various human resources policies, plans and procedures for all college personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual, updates employee manual and DOL postings as needed or required. Maintains employee evaluation process, confers with college personnel in reference to evaluations, manages secondary employment forms and process. Manages North Carolina Workers Compensation claims and OSHA compliance processes. Identifies, develops and administers compliance and policy training programs
to all college personnel. Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Bachelors degree required and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive Human Resources experience preferred.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
Experience in employee training, training development and administration required. Organizational Development and change management experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Considerable knowledge of Human Resources administration, practices and theory. Experience in Organizational Development and interventions. Experience in training and training administration.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the college. General knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, North Carolina Workers Comp, and OSHA reporting and compliance. Ability to operate at a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
