The HR Generalist follows human resources policies and procedures in various areas involving recruitment, hiring, and benefits. HR Generalist collects and analyzes HR data, and then makes recommendations to management. Generalist is also responsible for the hiring process for the organization and its additional assigned departments. The HR Generalist works with department leadership to develop recruitment strategies, screen job applicants, as well as select and process candidates for vacant positions. The HR Generalist also assists department managers with personnel action changes and answers questions concerning position control. The HR Generalist role manages the onboarding process for all new hires.
