The primary focus of the Human Resources Intern is to provide administrative support to the department in the areas of recruiting, benefit enrollment and communication. This position will start mid-August and run through the fall semester of 2013.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization with adherence to company policies and procedures.
Maintain employee personnel files (electronic)
Ensure that all paperwork is completed (including but not limited to I-9 documentation, employee handbook agreement, direct deposit forms, W-4)
Maintain current information on UltiPro employee information website
Provide administrative support for recruiting functions including, but not limited to:
Creation of job templates
Posting of current open positions
Applicant phone screening
Provide backup coverage for Corporate Receptionist.
Abide by dress code policy as outlined in Employee Handbook.
Work effectively as a team member, participating actively and constructively. Display a professional manner in dealing with supervisors, co workers, members, and others inside and outside the credit union.
Maintain regular and acceptable attendance and follow credit union rules governing attendance. Must be regularly available and willing to work such hours per day or per week as employer determines necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the credit union determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the credit union determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the credit union determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing Bachelors degree with interest in Human Resources
Previous administrative/customer service experience is preferred
Strong business acumen
High level of customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office software)
