One Hope United is a child welfare agency that serves children and their families. We have 800 employees throughout Illinois, Missouri and Florida. We are seeking an organized and customer service oriented Human Resources Manager for a fast paced work environment. Attention to detail, time management and organization skills are vital in this role. This position will report to the SVP, HR. Salary: Competitive salary with a benefit package, including health and dental; paid time off.
Degree Type/Area: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in human resources, business or public administration, or a related field. CEBS/PHR/SPHR/GPHR certification desirable.
Experience: 3-6 years of progressive professional experience, which must include an extensive Benefits background with management of the Benefits function including FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation administration. Experience with non profit and/or child welfare organizations, recruiting and HRIS implementation preferred.
•Manage the day to day administration, implementation and support of the following HR functions –benefits, recruitment, payroll, FMLA, LOA and workers compensation.
•Coordinates Open Enrollment and any Benefit related initiative including focus groups and best place to work surveys
•Coordinate and correspond with various internal and external customers, such as brokers, vendors and other agencies (external); directors, departments and staff (internal)
•Recommends benefits programs to management by studying employee requirements and trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations
•Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
•Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures via exceptional and timely customer service
•Monitor compensation administration to ensure compliance with documented salary guidelines for payroll purposes; completes benefit and compensation surveys
•Manage recruiting function including posting job ads and identifying staff vacancies
•Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, universities, State employment agencies, recruiters, social media, and recruitment internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; attending job fairs; maintaining rapport
•Conduct both exit and retention interviews, analyze statistical data to identify trends and determine causes of HR issues; develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s HR policies and practices
•Prepare reports as requested and on a regular basis to show all HR metrics, including, but not limited to, turnover rates and vacancy rates.
