We are currently assisting our Client, sales exceeding $1 Billion annually, with a Human Resources Manager position, located near Buffalo, NY. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee/labor relations, staffing and training functions. The successful candidate will develop and maintain partnerships with operations leadership by assisting them from a Human Relations perspective in meeting their strategic goals and providing Human Relations services and support for exempt and non-exempt employees. Responsibilities: Provide professional expertise in principles and procedures for employee relations, personnel recruitment and selection, training and employee development, compensation and benefits administration, and personnel information systems Provide professional expertise to management and union officials regarding labor relations policies, practices, and contractual matters Monitor and maintain positive labor and employee relations Manage, support, and develop direct reports where applicable to ensure that performance objectives are met Provide LR support and guidance to plant management to assist in meeting short and long term operating performance objectives of the company, including workforce planning for operations expansion and/or reduction Advise operations managers and supervisors on all labor relations matters (e.g., absenteeism, performance, discipline, manpower, pay issues) Identify opportunities for continuous improvement; participate, as required, in special projects Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or related field 5+ years progressively responsible experience in a Human Resources functions with a unionized workforce Human resources generalist experience including: employee relations, recruiting, training and employee development, compensation and benefits administration, and personnel information systems Compensation: 90,000 – 110,000 Competitive Relocation
