Reports To: Vice President Human Resources - CSIPurpose: Responsible for all human resources functions for Transitions Networks with a strong emphasis on aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position also acts as liaison between CSI and Transition Networks and also may work across business units as necessary.Major Tasks, Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Guide managers on workforce planning, restructures, departmental alignment, etc. to support business objectives.Identify workforce development needs and programs and assess results and return on an ongoing basis to ensure TN continues to build skill sets especially in critical roles.Develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results that support the business objectives.Assist with global human resources to the degree necessary, understanding global benefit issues, employment classifications, etc. Lead and facilitate open dialogue to promote good communication between locations.Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.Participate in M A due diligence as needed and upon acquisition, ensure smooth integration and transition into business by all employees and managers.Assist in succession planning.Work closely with management and employees to build morale, improve work relationships, increase productivity and retention.Assist recruiting function in recruitment efforts to ensure best practices in recruiting, onboarding, retention including global hires.Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as necessary. Review all termination situations, being present at the time of termination and providing guidance to managers. Ensure proper documentation of all situations. Escalate situations to corporate HR as necessary.Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Communicate corporate benefit offerings, compensation, policies, and procedures to employees.Understand and communicate affirmative action program to ensure best practices and compliance with the AA Metro plan.Accountable for ISO 9001 ISO 14001 standards.Conduct annual employee survey, providing TN leadership team and corporate HR with assessments and recommendations. Lead efforts and follow through to implement any change that may occur as a result of the survey findings. Accountable for operating within budget plan for the department.Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, transfers domestically and as globally as needed. Responsible for day to day human resources activities including updated job descriptions, an accurate position list, employee and manager support.Attend Leadership Meetings, providing current information to staff including workforce issues, benefit and policy changes, etc. and contribute to discussions from an overall business perspective. Participate in annual strategic planning with information and ideas to support the overall TN strategic goals from a workforce perspective.Ensure that all employee files, departmental reports and manuals are accurate and up to date.Provide back up to other human resources functions as necessary.Utilize Corporate HR Generalist to ensure smooth work flow, delegating administrative-level work as needed.Work in tandem with Corporate HR and/or an employee activities committee to ensure annual employee events run smoothly.Nature Scope: Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems that support the business objectives and strategic goals as well as organization-wide human resources strategies.
