Human Resources Manager
As a relationship-driven leader, we will rely on you to oversee all the human resource functions, including recruiting and on-boarding the employees, employee recordkeeping, corporate policies and procedures, benefit and compensation administration, performance evaluation process, employee recognition program, workers compensation and leave-of-absence administration plus employee licensing and compliance. You will mentor and supervise a HR staff of approximately 2-4 employees as well as work with the staff on all levels of the organization to ensure we are meeting their ongoing HR needs.
Provide employee and management training Manage files and records to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies Provide counsel and guidance to managers in effectively dealing with employee relations issues Mange the annual performance evaluation process Oversee employee licensing and point compliance Be the liaison to our PEO in order to leverage the services offered for the betterment of our companys HR
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field 6+ years of HR experience with increased responsibility is required PHR certification desired Ability to think strategically yet willing to roll-up sleeves and tackle the work is a must Ability to utilize a positive attitude to reach out to employees in order to build trusting relationships Strong project management with proven organization, time management and team partnership / leadership skills Experience with point compliance processes and regulations in a nonprofit work environment required Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio and Access) Experience with HRIS systems strongly desired Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent coaching, problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to effectively delegate assignments and work well with employees at all organizational levels Pro-active and self-directed High level of discernment and integrity Ability to drive and possess a valid CA drivers license along with a clean driving record Ability to obtain Department of Justice fingerprint clearance Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
