DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Soboba Human Resources Department and manages the administration of the Tribe's human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Manager supervises the Human Resource staff for Recruitment, Training and Employee Benefits.

DUTIES

Develop and administer annual HR Department budget and staffing

HR policy and procedure implementation

Compensation and benefits administration

Employee safety, wellness and health

Employee orientation, training and development

Assist Executive and Department Managers on all HR issues

Organizational and space planning

Employee relations

Records security and confidentiality

Compliance with worker's compensation and employment laws and regulations

Oversight of employee grievance and discipline processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field

Direct experience of more than ten years plus related certifications may be substituted, in part or whole, to meet minimum education requirment

Experience

6 years general Human Resources experience.

3 years management/supervisory experience.
Knowledge and Skills

Ability to communicate effectively through written documents and oral presentations

Demonstrated leadership abilities

Ability to delegate, mentor and supervise HR staff

Familiarity with HR data systems and internet recruitment tools

Respect for Soboba history, culture and Tribal Membership

REQUIRED

Pre-screen Background Clearance and Drug Testing.
