Ecumen, the most innovative leader of senior housing and services, seeks a Human Resources Representative for the St. Olaf Community Campus, located in Minneapolis, which includes skilled nursing and assisted living communities. We are a multi-year winner of the “Best Place to Work” award by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal. The HR Representative will be employed by St. Olaf, a community managed by Ecumen.
The St. Olaf HR Representative provides on-site human resources leadership for the care center and assisted living campus, including managing recruitment, pre-employment, new hire, payroll and employee administration practices and policies, consistent with company policy and the law. S/he maintains accurate and compliant employee records, administers employee benefits, and manages the annual performance review process. In addition, the HR Representative serves as a member of the leadership team, providing counsel and advice to St. Olaf leaders as the team works together to maintain an engaged workforce that is committed to delivering excellent customer care and service. S/he collaborates with Ecumen Human Resources partners, who are available as a resource.
Skills & Requirements
The successful candidate will have three to five years of human resources or related applicable experience, proven customer service skills, and be able to effectively use Microsoft Office software, payroll and other administrative systems. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred. S/he will have a strong working knowledge of basic HR principles and practices, be familiar with employment laws and regulations, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well both individually and as a collaborative team member, tactfully interact with a diverse customer base, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, demonstrate a positive attitude, and handle all responsibilities with high integrity. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance is required.
