Human Resources Specialist FT. Performs HR Generalist duties including payroll data entry, background check processing, ensuring complete personnel paperwork, processing and tracking FML, assisting with ADA processes, scheduling and coordinating new employee orientation, administering benefits, answering employee questions, interpreting policies and procedures, complying with appropriate state and federal laws, employee relations, administering Learning Management System, filing, and assisting HR Director with all HR functions. Exempt position. Requires Associate’s Degree, 1-2 yrs experience in HR, & must possess broad knowledge of state and Federal employment laws-government compliance regulations related to HR, and their application in the workplace; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills; ability to consistently exercise discretion and judgment and apply analytical skills to the performance of work/daily duties; ability to work well under stressful conditions with time constraints, frequent interruption, and constant demands of high volume workload; ability to identify problems and use problem solving methodologies, and ability to work independently, complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal direction, multi-task, and maintain confidential information.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, or related field preferred. Payroll processing, knowledge of Lawson, background check processing & healthcare HR experience preferred.
