Coordinate adjunct recruitment efforts by maintaining the adjunct open pool applicant system; screen all open pool adjunct applications, provide monthly reports to appropriate academic departments based on the adjuncts’ qualifications, and assist program chairs with open adjunct pool.
Coordinate the completion of all regular employee performance evaluations; communicate directly with supervisor regarding deadlines for completion of evaluations. Maintain all job descriptions for the College; assist with job evaluation committee and track changes to job descriptions. Compile, analyze and update affirmative action plan data. Coordinate HR website updates. Act as assistant to the Executive Director, Human Resources for projects, surveys, and other items as needed.
Correspond with faculty and supervisors on a regular basis to ensure compliance with completion of TI Units. Maintain records for faculty Staff Development Units ( SDU ), verify SDUs as necessary for faculty, provide SDU reports to faculty yearly.
Coordinate the tracking of the online and face-to-face adjunct training on all DMACC campuses. Establish and maintain the adjunct professional development website to include the publication of best practices and resources for professional development options available. Work with all DMACC Campus Provosts and Deans to ensure centralized recording and promotion of all professional development activities.
Coordinate adjunct orientations. Assess training needs by gathering pertinent information from employees and supervisors. Conduct needs assessment surveys for professional development as necessary. Assist in planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive professional development program for faculty, adjunct faculty and staff. Assist with the planning and implementation of orientation for new full-time faculty.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in human resources, management, labor relations, business administration or related area.
Two years of human resources experience within a human resource office. Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to plan, organize and manage time. Operate as part of a team that has a positive attitude and ability to promote a collaborative environment. Ability to model open, respectful, accepting, and supportive behaviors with human resource team members and all college employee groups.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of current software applications.
Experience in human resources in an educational institution.
