HYDRAULICS LABORATORY TECHNICIAN POSITION
Review job order requirements, apply training, knowledge and experience to design test set-ups. Select appropriate test equipment and execute project with minimum supervision.
Setup & run tests and document results.
Perform flow/pressure/temperature testing of hydraulic filters & manifolds.
Perform vibration, endurance and impulse testing.
Perform low/high temperature resistance tests
Monitor test performance, test equipment, and data acquisition
Review job order, relevant MSDS and fully understand requirements in accordance with laboratory SOP’s
Inventory/issue PO’s for equipment, materials, and parts to support tasks.
Review timeline and discuss schedule conflicts or modifications with management.
Document preparation information appropriately in notebook.
Execution of Job Order
Troubleshoot equipment/instrumentation necessary to support testing.
Perform job order requirements. Record actual procedure, raw data directly into notebook.
Keep project manager updated on progress of testing and any pertinent observations or testing deviations.
Lab Project Completion
Record results and observations in notebook.
Assure all calculations are performed correctly.
Create accurate and timely lab reports reflective of the job order requirements.
Write lab reports.
Learn various lab systems, sample logs, purchasing, calibration, including stocking of supplies and chemicals.
Complete assigned work tasks within schedule.
Adhere to all requirements stated in the Pall Quality manual, standard laboratory, calibration, and operating procedures.
Recognize and take action on any equipment/instrumentation that requires calibration or repair.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Associates degree or higher in a technical field
2 years of hydraulic experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Associates degree geared towards Aviation,
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
Data acquisition skills.
National Instruments experience a plus.
Pneumatic experience preferred.
