Determine, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate technical classroom and computer-based training to promote learning of EAFM Hydraulic products and applications. Develop, implement, and support systems to continuously improve (and expand) training functions with assistance from other groups such as Product Support, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Sales and Sales Management.

Facilitate Advance Filtration Seminars in accordance with hydraulic training budget.

Design technical reference materials that enhance the effectiveness of the Sales and Technical Service personnel.

Responsibilities include the following

(other duties may be assigned as needed):
Systematically manage all training functions through a five-step process:

Determine the training goals and define the learning objectives.

Design and develop the training content in terms of the knowledge, skills and attitudes desired.

Plan the adult learning methods, internal and external resources, and the training design.

Deliver training products by facilitating training sessions and/or presenting computer-based training tools.

Evaluate classroom and computer-based training for continuous improvement based on trainee and facilitator feedback.

Facilitate and Manage Advance Filtration Seminar. This includes managing all activities related to registration and accommodations in addition to actual training activities.

Develop and maintain a Sales Certification Program in coordination with Hydraulic Sales Manager. Multiple levels of certification required for various course levels allowing students the opportunity to test out.

Manage training sessions and materials to meet the diverse needs of the EAFM Hydraulic sales channels.

Develop and maintain training tools (Sales Certification Training Program, Application Library) as necessary with assistance from Administrative Support, Applications Engineering, Desktop Publishing, and Marketing.

Communicate with Management, Sales, Aftermarket, Field Service, Marketing, Administrative Support, and Desktop Publishing as required regarding new and improved training functions.

Prepare reports and test methods on training evaluation results, communicating strengths and areas for continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain a cooperative work relationship with Administrative Support, Customer Service, Applications Engineering, Marketing, Product Support, and EAFM Field Sales so that a free exchange of training information exists as a basis for effective two-way communications.

Participate in planning and execution of all training activities that are included in Regional or National Sales Meetings.

Provide global training support for EAFM entities.

Support customers and sales force with field applications and service issues relative to product performance.

Maintain and make ongoing improvements to training facility.


Certified Fluid Power Specialist (Required)

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or the physical sciences or equivalent experience in the fluid power industry. Minimum of seven years of experience in the fluid power industry.

Technical Competencies:
Knowledge of and/or experience in mathematical and mechanical functions relating to fluid power (hydraulics).

Knowledge of and/or experience in adult learning principles, interactive learning methods, delivery and facilitation of classroom training.

Strong Project Management skills.

Thorough understanding of the many diversified training tools available such as computer systems, data displays, facilities, and personnel

Administrative knowledge regarding budgeting and expense management.
